Caitlin Clark topped fan voting, with Minnesota Lynx&rsquo;s Napheesa Collier finishing second on the list.<\/p><p>As a result of that, the duo will captain their respective sides. Team Clark will be coached by Minnesota Lynx&rsquo;s Cheryl Reeve, while Team Collier will be led by New York Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello.<\/p><p>Both coaches have been fierce competitors, dominating the landscape of modern WNBA basketball. She has also coached 5 times in the WNBA All-Star game. This will be her second consecutive appearance in the special event.<\/p><p>Reeve has worked with Caitlin Clark during the 2024 Paris Olympics. Still, fans remain skeptical about how Reeve and Clark will work together on the same bench. That stems from a major controversy when Reeve ignored Caitlin Clark during the 2024 Olympics despite her obvious talent.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sandy Brondello Also Named for WNBA All-star<\/h2><p>Team Collier will be guided by Liberty&rsquo;s Sandy Brondello, the architect of New York&rsquo;s recent WNBA dominance and a force in the coaching ranks.<\/p><p>The 54-year-old began her coaching career with the San Antonio Silver Stars as an assistant coach and then a head coach. She led Liberty to a WNBA championship in 2024. Sandy Brondella also won the WNBA Commissioner&rsquo;s Cup in 2023.<\/p><p>Having coached more than 400 games in the league, Brondella has a career winning rate near 60 percent.
