A stunning result of exits from the first two days of the tournament has opened the door for many unseeded players to perform well and progress to the later stages.&nbsp;<\/p><p>You never really know what to expect from the grass season, and <a href=\"https:\/\/theplayoffs.news\/en\/tennis\/\" class=\"trk-cta-link\" data-cta-trk='{\"ctaType\":\"Link\",\"ctaSubType\":\"main\"}'>Wimbledon<\/a> in particular, as it is the shortest swing on tour, and shock results are always on the cards. All in all, a total of 23 seeded players from both the men&rsquo;s and women&rsquo;s draws have exited the tournament.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alexander Zverev Among Record Number of Seeds To Fall in Round One&nbsp;<\/h2><p>History was made in the opening round of Wimbledon this year as a record of 13 seeds fell on the men&rsquo;s side of the draw. This is the most number of seeds to go out at the prestigious event, and it has tied the Grand Slam record with that of the 2004 Australian Open.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Leading the slide in the men&rsquo;s side of the draw, third seed Alexander Zverev, crashed out after a tough five-set battle against Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Despite hitting 31 aces and landing 81% of his first serves, the German struggled against his heavy-hitting opponent in a match that had only 3 breaks of serve.
