Before becoming one of the most promising names in the bantamweight division, Payton Talbott was a psychology major with a minor in music at the University of Nevada, curious about the healing power of music therapy. But somewhere between lecture halls and lab notes, the then teenager Talbott found his calling inside the cage.<\/p>
Talbott began training at the Reno Academy of Combat in 2017 and made his amateur debut shortly after. He went undefeated at 5-0, building a reputation on the regional circuit before turning professional in 2021.
