Arsenal have completed a deal to sign Denmark international Christian Nørgaard from Brentford. The Gunners have signed Nørgaard as they look to strengthen their midfield ahead of the upcoming 2025-2026 Premier League campaign. The 31-year-old reportedly joins for an initial fee of around £10 million, with an additional £5 million in performance-related add-ons.<\/p>
With Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey yet to agree terms on a contract extension ahead of its expiry next week, Nørgaard is widely seen as a ready-made replacement. The move will further solidify Arsenal’s squad depth in midfield. Notably, the Gunners have finished as runners-up in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons. <\/p>
Nørgaard is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days before officially joining the North London side. The Danish midfielder joined Brentford from Fiorentina in 2019 and quickly became a cornerstone of Thomas Frank’s side. Nørgaard has made over 120 Premier League appearances since joining Brentford and remains under contract for two more years, following an extension signed in March.<\/p>
