The couple became parents to Jake on June 16, 2007. The 18-year-old was born in Toronto, Ontario, and hails from a family that has close ties with ice hockey. He didn&rsquo;t achieve the same level of success as his wife, but still played a significant number of games in his school and college career.&nbsp;<\/p><p>According to records, O&rsquo;Brien senior played right wing and spent three seasons with the Markham Waxers from 1982-1985, a junior hockey team in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL). In 108 games, he scored 109 points, including 46 goals.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p><p>He then played another four seasons of collegiate hockey at Clarkson University from 1985-1989. In 109 games, he scored 25 goals and earned 53 points in total. Turek played three seasons for the Beatrice Aeros, which was a team in the National Women&rsquo;s Hockey League (NWHL).&nbsp;<\/p><p>Turek, a forward, played for the Aeros from 1998-2001.
