Walter Clayton Jr. is a rising guard who’s steadily climbed the ranks of college basketball through consistent production. He has had the privilege of growing up in a household filled with talented athletes. His father, Walter Clayton Sr. was both a college basketball and football player.<\/p>
While his mother, Cherie Quarg played softball and basketball in high school. Walter Clayton Jr. who graduated from Bartow High School also played both basketball and football like his father. In his senior year, he averaged 15.4 points, 4.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game.<\/p>
Despite flying under the radar during recruitment, Clayton opted to pursue basketball full-time at the collegiate level. He began his college journey at Iona, where a strong two-year run earned him a transfer to the University of Florida for his final seasons.<\/p>
