According to NHL <\/a>insiders, both New York-based franchises, the Islanders and Rangers, along with the Minnesota Wild, have been linked with trades. <\/p> The New York Islanders and the Boston Bruins have been linked heavily over the past couple of days. It has come to light that New York has offered its center, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, to Boston, but what they want in return is the number seven overall pick, which is currently held by the Bruins. <\/p> As per reports, the Bruins are looking to add quality pieces to their roster on both offense and defense. If they can get a top-four defenseman or a top-six forward, they could be willing to part ways with the seventh overall pick. However, it would take a lot more than just Pageau from the Islanders. <\/p> Thus, reports indicate that the names of Alexander Romanov and Noah Dobson have also been floated around in this deal.
