He grew up in Selestat, France, and stayed there till age 10, until he moved to Strasbourg, where he initially pursued football. Remarkably, he never played basketball until the summer of 2021, only trying the sport at 14 after struggling to find football cleats to fit his oversized feet. Encouraged by friends, he took basketball seriously, joining Strasbourg Saint-Joseph Basket&rsquo;s U17 team. <\/p><p>As his raw potential shone through, leading him to SIG Strasbourg in 2022, where he played for their U-18 squad in LNB Espoirs league, taking his scoring from 4.1 points per game in 2022-23 to an impressive 17.4 in 2023-24. In 2024, Beringer moved to Slovenia, joining Cedevita Olimpija&rsquo;s senior team after an impressive stint with their reserves. His impact was immediate earning a four-year contract in November 2024 and helping the team secure the 2024-25 Slovenian Basketball Cup.<\/p><p>Now Joan Beringer has been considered a potential selection in the 2025 NBA Draft. <\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Joan Beringer&rsquo;s Strengths and Weaknesses<\/h2><p>While Joan Beringer is a tantalizing prospect, there are some weaknesses that he needs to work on coming into the NBA <\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strengths<\/h3><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Has great physical tools to be a successful NBA player.
