Even though it has been just a little over a month since our last footballing action, the offseason has not failed to let us down. Plenty has happened over the course of this past month or so, including several coaching changes, player trades, and, of course, free agent signings. <\/p>

The next big event of the offseason will be the 2026 NFL draft, coming up at the end of April. After the draft, almost all rosters will be set, and the final 53-man selection will take place a little later. <\/p>

But with the majority of the work in the offseason now done, here is a look at the NFC North teams and their chances of winning the division in the upcoming season. <\/p>

2025-26 NFC North Recap<\/h2>

Before diving straight into the team odds to win the NFC North next season, it is worth taking some time to discuss the previous season. <\/p>

There was a shakeup of sorts in the NFC North last season as the Chicago Bears, led by first-time head coach Ben Johnson, clinched the division for the first time since 2018. The Bears, at one time, were in contention to claim the number one seed in the conference, but losing 3 of their last 5 hurt their chances.<\/p>

The Packers surprised one and all by signing pass rusher Micah Parsons just before the start of the season. It felt as if this would be the year Green Bay would challenge for a run to the Super Bowl, but after Parsons got injured, the Packers faltered. They went on a 4-game losing streak and ended the season in second place with a 9-7-1 record. <\/p>

Minnesota had a season to forget. J.J. McCarthy started the season under center, but it quickly became clear he was not at the level the Vikings needed to make the playoffs. Despite going on a 5-game win streak to close out the season, their earlier results meant that they could do no better than finish 9-8 on the season. <\/p>

Coming to Detroit, the Lions went through a shocking downfall. Having won the division two years in a row, the Lions were going for the hat-trick. Too many mixed results meant they were always chasing the contenders after their bye week. Eventually, Detroit finished last in the division with a 9-8 record. <\/p>
