The NFL <\/a>Playoffs is here and one of the more intriguing matchups is a Wild Card round contest between the Eagles vs 49ers, a clash between the NFC East division winner vs a dark horse contender from NFC West. Both teams have elite talents, but it will all come down to who can make timely stops, coaching adjustments, and the star players to show up for the massive contracts they’ve signed.<\/p>

The Eagles had an okay regular season at best, as all year long they’ve battled with offensive irregularities and their once elite defense has now come down. Saquon Barkley mightily struggled this season and was nowhere close to where he was last season. Similarly, Jalen Hurts has had a down season to say the least and neither his arm nor his running game was exactly reliable. A lot needs to be fixed. However, they have little to no time remaining to prepare for what’s to come. <\/p>

Meanwhile, the 49ers have proven many people wrong this season and despite multiple injuries during the season, they are in the playoffs and with their offense clicking during the final stretch of games. Even though they are 3rd in this division, they still have a 12-5 record and have pulled off wins against some of the best teams, making them a dark horse team in the playoffs. <\/p>
