Former Boston Celtics forward Kendrick Perkins slammed Los Angeles Lakers’ star LeBron James for his performance during the Christmas Day game against the Houston Rockets. Notably, the Lakers suffered their third NBA<\/a> loss in a row as the Rockets handed them a blowout loss. Luka Doncic, who is currently leading the league in scoring<\/a>, was able to score only 25 points, while LeBron James came up with 18 points. <\/p>

Following the game, Perkins called out James for his performance<\/a>, and said that the 17-time champions should make the hard decision to let him go. The 2008 champion slammed the 21-time NBA All-Star for his body language. He said, “When he’s not engaged or feels some type of way it speaks in his body language.” “Last night his body language was awful, he was not engaged, he was pouting, he was moping, he was walking up and down the floor, he was complaining.” <\/em><\/p>

Perkins added, “Lebron and the Lakers relationship has run its course, and they need to figure out a solution and the solution is him not being in a Los Angeles Lakers uniform.” <\/em><\/p>

Notably, during the game against the Rockets, James recorded his worst plus-minus as a Laker. Following the loss, he quickly walked off the court and didn’t shake hands with anyone. It is to be noted that James had a sciatica injury that kept him out for a few games in the beginning of the season. Currently, he is averaging 20.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in 13 games this season. <\/p>

Kendrick Perkins Slams JJ Redick for Lack of Accountability Following Lakers’ Loss <\/h2>

Guess LeBron James wasn’t the only one on the radar of Kendrick Perkins after the Lakers suffered a humiliating loss at the hands of the Rockets. The former player lashed out on head coach JJ Redick for his lack of accountability<\/a> and publicly criticizing his team’s players. Following the loss, Redick called his team out for lack of effort and professionalism, while stating that they should expect an ‘uncomfortable’ practice the next day with their egos likely to be bruised. <\/p>

However, his criticism didn’t sit well with the ESPN analyst and he warned Redick not to push hard as it can ruin their chemistry. He went on to say that Redick needs to take a step back and have a little introspection. <\/p>

“JJ Redick — everybody find it cute and funny when he goes on these rants and publicly calls out his team, but JJ Redick got to do better as well. It’s always everybody else’s fault, but not JJ Redick. That’s a problem for me,”<\/em> Perkins said. <\/p>

“He talking about his team not being consistent, not playing hard, not doing the little things. Well, guess what? That’s a reflection on the coach,” <\/em>he added. <\/p>

“When your team is not responding and your team is not putting the effort that’s needed to compete at a high level, that means they are not listening to the coach, and the respect level is not there.”<\/em><\/p>

Though the Lakers are seeded fourth in the Western Conference standings, they are currently struggling with consistency and poor form. In the next game, the Gold and Purple brigade will be up against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday, where they will try to get out of the slump and record their first win in four games.<\/p>\n
