Sunday’s game between the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots at Foxborough, Massachusetts, was a tale of two halves. The home team, the Patriots, came out flying with quarterback Drake Maye in on the action as Josh Allen and the Bills looked flat at the start of the game. <\/p>
Jumping out to a huge 24-7 lead at the half, the Patriots were running away with the game, and the Bills had no answers on either side of the ball. The turnaround in the second half was one to see as Allen and James Cook took over the game, completing a comeback to take a 35-31 win. <\/p>
What looked like an easy win for the Patriots by halftime changed completely in the third quarter as the Bills scored two touchdowns and went on a 14-0 run to get within 3 points. Buffalo once again added a couple of touchdowns in the final quarter, with the man of the moment being none other than Allen himself. <\/p>
Following the game, a clearly dejected Mike Vrabel was asked about Allen and his ability to turn games on their head on a weekly basis. The Patriots head coach kept it simple by acknowledging that Allen’s physical size, coupled with his strengths such as running fast, strong arm, and hard to bring down, make him who he is, and that is the reason why he is being so much. <\/p>
“It’s the same thing everybody else sees. 6-foot-5, 250 pounds, runs fast, hard to tackle, hard to get down on the ground,”<\/em> Vrabel told the media after the game. “He’s accurate, strong arm. I’m giving you dissertation on a league MVP. … That’s why they pay him $60 million.”<\/em><\/p> The reigning league MVP has continued to display superb game management and has led the team from the front, putting them on his back multiple times this season<\/a>. His ability to create plays both through the air and on the ground provides Buffalo a great advantage week in and week out. <\/p>
