The 24-time Grand Slam champion tore his left hamstring during the run and then retired after one set against Alexander Zverev, leaving the court to boos. His return brought more hurdles, including opening-round losses in Qatar and Indian Wells, followed by a run to the Miami Open final, where he lost to teenager Jakub Mensik.<\/p><p>Murray had planned to stay on through the French Open, but Djokovic&rsquo;s early exits in Monte Carlo and Madrid led to an earlier split.
