While the battle for the final berths in Turin is heating up. The Paris Masters, the last ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, has become the defining stage where each point could reshape the qualification picture. Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, and Alexander Zverev have already secured their places among the elite eight, leaving four spots still up for grabs.<\/p><p>After the ATP 500 events in Basel and Vienna, the top half of the standings remained unchanged, but the race below them has tightened dramatically. Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Alex de Minaur, and Lorenzo Musetti (currently ranked fifth to eighth) are now separated by just 160 points (Fritz at 3,835, Musetti at 3,675). That gap was 350 points last week, highlighting how fine the margins have become. Fritz, Shelton, and Musetti have already defended their 2024 points, meaning every win in Paris adds to their total, while de Minaur and Auger-Aliassime face tougher math. De Minaur, who made the quarterfinals in Paris last year, must defend 180 points, while Auger-Aliassime, a Round of 16 finisher, has 90 to protect.<\/p><p>Jack Draper, sitting at No. 10 with 2,990 points, has ended his season due to an arm injury, effectively removing himself from the equation. At No. 11, Casper Ruud suffered an early exit in Paris to Daniel Altmaier, further dimming his hopes.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Just behind him, Daniil Medvedev remains an outside contender, having already defended his 2024 points after an early loss last year. While Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (now No. 14 after a Basel final run) enters Paris with everything to gain.
