The Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> will host the Washington Commanders<\/a> for their Week 8 Monday Night Football action, live from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. This Chiefs vs Commanders primetime matchup features a AFC vs NFC duel, with the Chiefs heavily favored to win the matchup as Washington’s QBq Jayden Daniels is ruled out for the game. <\/p>

The Chiefs are 4-3 to start their season and finally back in full strength with Rashee Rice back in the lineup after serving 6 games suspension. Rice was excellent in his debut against the Raiders in Week 7, scoring two TDs. The Chiefs shut out the Raiders last game, and pulled off a great win against the Detroit Lions in Week 6 without Rice in the lineup. Their QB Patrick Mahomes has led this team this season, and despite their early season struggles, the Chiefs are starting to find their rhythm.<\/p>

Meanwhile, the Commanders will push out their backup QB Marcus Mariota to the starting role again as Jayden Daniels is currently dealing with a hamstring injury. Even with the latest additions to bolster the roster in the offseason, the Commanders have become a ghost of their former selves, struggling to get wins consistently. Their defense is still amongst the bottom half teams and their offense has been inconsistent with players in and out of the lineup.<\/p>

The Chiefs <\/a>have listed 10 players on the injury report. OT Josh Simmons is out for the game, with G Trey Smith listed as doubtful as he did not participate in any of the practice sessions held. RB Brashard Smith is listed as unspecified with a toe injury but was a full participant in all three practices sessions. And while Xavier Worthy looked to be in pain against the Raiders in Week 7, he was a full participant in all three days of practice, but his game status is unspecified at the moment. <\/p>
