Having said that, the Dolphins’<\/a> quarterback addressed his press conference yesterday and issued a public apology to his teammates for the comments he made after the team’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers<\/a> on Sunday. <\/p> In Tagovailoa’s media session, the Dolphins’ quarterback took full accountability for his comments against his teammates, which he understands should stay within the confines of the team’s locker room.<\/p> “As a leader of this team of the Miami Dolphins, the comments that had been said, I would say I’ve made a mistake and I’m owning up to that right now,” <\/em>Tagovailoa said immediately on commencing the interaction with the media. <\/p> “For myself, I gotta look at myself as the leader protecting the team. I don’t feel like I did that to the best of my abilities. I felt like I let the emotions of the game get to me after the game. And, you know, that’s something that I can learn from as a leader on this team, and what happens in-house should be protected. And none of that should have gotten out.
