During an interview with Submission Radio<\/strong>, Dariush called out the UFC for shielding their cash cows from dangerous opponents like himself. He pulled back the curtain on his recent frustrations with getting quality opponents. He explained that he specifically asked for fights against Dan Hooker, Max Holloway, and Paddy Pimblett. The UFC told him none of these fighters were available for a matchup. Instead, they offered him an opponent outside the top ten or a rematch with Mateusz Gamrot. He ended up facing Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 322 instead, which raises eyebrows about the promotion’s decision-making process.<\/p>

“To some degree, I think they protect some of their guys. Like, you know, they don’t want me to spoil some of these guys. So, to some degree, they also have to, you know, unless they have to give me a top-ranked guy, they don’t want to give me a top-ranked guy.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>
