Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season delivered high drama, from Thurday’s Packers’ commanding win over the Commanders to a slate packed with rivalries and rematches on Sunday. The Eagles edged the Chiefs in a Super Bowl LIX rematch, handing Kansas City a shocking 0-2 start in Mahomes era, while the Ravens bounced back with a dominant victory. Underdogs like the Colts pulled of a thriller against the Broncos, and the Lions roared past the Bears in a gritty NFC North clash.

Surprises were also abound as the Giants took the Cowboys all the way to OT, despite Russell Wilson’s performance. And the 49ers’ injury-riddled 2-0 surge sparked a lot of buzz. There are a lot of surprising teams that are doing well this season so far, but there are some that are in a tough spot even though we are just two weeks in.

With that said, let us look at the power rankings for each teams ahead of Week 3 of the NFL.

Rank 1- Philadelphia Eagles (2-0)

The Eagles hold the No.1 sport in Week 3 power rankings with a 2-0 record, highlighted by a statement win over the Chiefs in a Super Bowl LIX rematch. Their balanced offense, led by a dynamic passing attack and stout run game, overwhelms opponents, while their defense has limited top-tier QBs, allowing very few points. With Jalen Hurts commanding a versatile roster, the Eagles look poised to maintain their dominant edge.

Ready for the Rams @Verizon | #FlyEaglesFly pic.twitter.com/kddwo4rgKM
— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) September 17, 2025

Rank 2 – Buffalo Bills (2-0)

The Buffalo Bills secure the No. 2 spot in the power rankings with a 2-0 record, dominating the Jets 30-10 in Week 2, and the mind boggling comeback win that they had over the Ravens in Week 1. Their offense easily overwhelms defenses with Josh Allen’s dual-threat play. And going into Week 3 against Miami, the Bills should be able to extend their win streak to 3-0, as they are the favorites.

GO BILLS ‼️@MandT_Bank | #BUFvsNYJ pic.twitter.com/BCskeDNGk4
— Buffalo Bills (@BuffaloBills) September 14, 2025

Rank 3 – Green Bay Packers (2-0)

The Green Bay Packers have quite literally surprised everyone and all the hype around the Micah Parsons trade, seems to have worked out. The Packers took down the Lions in Week 1 and the Commanders in Week 2. The biggest reason why, was their defense locking down everything on site. Both Jayden Daniels and Jared Goff had a hard time against the Packers’ secondary, and the Packers have looked like an elite team thus far.

Rank 4 – Baltimore Ravens (1-1)

The Baltimore Ravens have posted 40 or more points in back-to-back games against the Bills in Week 1 and the Browns in Week 2. There is no slowing this team down and they are outstanding offensively. Some might even argue that they have the best offense in the league. However, their late game collapse against the Bills in Week 1 after leading by 15 going into the fourth, has us concerned about if they will be able to stop some teams from scoring.

The set up for the set up. They closely won the game against the Texans in Week 1, allowing just 9 points to Houston while scoring 14. In Week 2, the Rams dominated the game against the Titans, with Matthew Stafford’s 298 passing yards, and 2 TDs. Since the Rams were the closest in dismantling the reigning defending champs, we believe that they are a huge threat to come out of the NFC.

Rank 6 – Los Angeles Chargers (2-0)

The Chargers have come out strong since the opening gate, beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, and taking care of the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2. Their defense has been very impressive so far, holding the Chiefs to 21 points, and the Raiders at 9 total points. Justin Herbert has been very impressive to start the season combining for 560 passing yards and 5 TDs in just two games, leading the Chargers to promising places.

Rank 7 – Washington Commanders (1-1)

The Commanders started off their season with a win over the New York Giants, with the final score of 21-6, making Russell Wilson have a horrible performance. However in Week 2, the Commanders were dismantled by the Packers, having just 230 total yards and giving away 404 yards to the Packers. Their defense will be key in determining their position this season and so far it has been disappointing.

🗓️ Week 3: #LVvsWAS
🏟️ Northwest Stadium
📺 1pm on FOX
— Washington Commanders (@Commanders) September 18, 2025

Rank 8 – Detroit Lions (1-1)

The Lions bounced back with a Week 2 win over the Chicago Bears, completely dominating in every fashion. Amon-Ra St Brown had three touchdown passes caught, and the Bears had no answer for him. However, if we look at their Week 1 performance, their offense was completely shut down by the Packers. We are still in doubts about the Lions’ ceiling for this season and it is their defense that concerns us the most.

Rank 9 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0)

The Buccaneers are once again dominating behind Baker Mayfield’s great play, but they have had close games thus far against he Falcons in Week 1 and the Texans in Week 2. While we do acknowledge the fact that the Bucs are 1st in NFC South, they have not really been tested by top tier teams, making us believe that 9th is a really great spot for them on this list.

Rank 10 – San Francisco 49ers (2-0)

The 49ers are coming off two consecutive wins over the Saints and the Seahawks and despite their injury riddled roster, they have still managed to stay alive. While granted that their schedule is relatively easier than most teams, we also need to keep in mind that they are missing their QB1 Brock Purdy to an injury, McCaffrey still finding his game after coming back from his injury, and players such as George Kittle and many others still rehabbing their injuries. While the winning streak will not be easy to keep with half of their offense missing the games, they have nevertheless been impressive to start the season.

Rank 11 – Kansas City Chiefs (0-2)

The Chiefs have not won a single game since losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in an humiliating fashion at Super Bowl LIX. They are 0-2 to start their season with losses against the Chargers and the Eagles. They are missing their key receivers in Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, which has only contributed to their ongoing frustrations. While Mahomes has been great to start out the season, it’s the rest of the team that needs to pick things up. Going into Week 3, their defense has also been alarming, failing to make critical stops in late game situations.

We see you, @AyoCook_6 💪 pic.twitter.com/Dq7ij5eA8i
— Kansas City Chiefs (@Chiefs) September 17, 2025

Rank 12 – Indianapolis Colts (2-0)

The Colts are 2-0 to start out their season. They blew out the Dolphins in Week 1, and had a thrilling comeback win against the Broncos in Week 2. The offense under Daniel Jones has been spectacular, and their owner Irsay-Gordon, being on the sidelines, micromanaging has worked out great for them so far.

Rank 13 – Atlanta Falcons (1-1)

The Falcons, under Michael Penix Jr have started out the season strong. After a heartbreaking loss in Week 1 against the Buccaneers, the Falcons dismantled the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2. They have played great defense against the Vikings, ringing up six sacks and four turnovers, making the Vikings stick to just 6 points overall. Everything is working well for the Falcons and they can surprise a lot of fans and analysts this season.

Rank 14 – Seattle Seahawks (1-1)

Despite being dead last in NFC West, the Seahawks are starting to find their groove. In Week 1 we saw Zach Charbonnet run the football effectively, and in Week 2 it was Kenneth Walker. They lost to the 49ers in Week 1 after a strip sack which happened in the final minutes of the game, despite leading for the majority. In Week 2, the Seahawks managed to keep Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers in check, despite their QB1 Sam Darnold getting picked twice. The Seahawks defense deserves a lot of credit, even though their offense is still a work in progress.

Rank 15 – Denver Broncos (1-1)

The Denver Broncos’ shocking loss to the Colts exposed defensive lapses, surrendering 473 yards, and offensive failures, with two scoreless fourth-quarter drives inside the 30. Add a costly 15-yard penalty on a missed field goal, and that sealed Denver’s fate, amplifying concerns after their narrow Titans win in Week 1.

Rank 16 – Arizona Cardinals (2-0)

The 2-0 Cardinals narrowly escaped a collapse against Carolina, leading 27-3 but allowing three late TD drives. Four defensive penalties and Bryce Young’s 217 second-half yards exposed their defensive lapses, making us question their legitimacy of their record. Arizona’s offense, leaning on Harrison, McBride, and Conner, needs more consistency despite their wins so far.

Rank 17 – Cincinnati Bengals (2-0)

The Bengals hit 2-0 for the first time since 2018, but Joe Burrow’s toe injury sidelines him for at least 3 months. Their backup QB Jake Browning, solid in 2023, threw three picks but also led a 31-27 comeback win. The Bengals have a tough road-schedule against strong defenses, which makes us question their chances going further into the NFL season.

Taking a trip up north. pic.twitter.com/ByWqbfd1tI
— Cincinnati Bengals (@Bengals) September 17, 2025

Rank 18 – Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1)

Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers’ offense struggled, settling for field goals and three-and-outs early, with a red-zone interception hurting. The defense, allowing 30+points in both games, faltered against Seattle’s run and pass. Rookie Kaleb Johnson’s fumbled kickoff return gifted a touchdown, sealing Pittsburgh’s struggles even further.

Rank 19 – Minnesota Vikings (1-1)

The Vikings are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Falcons in Week 2, scoring just 6 points, with J.J. McCarthy being an absolute no show in his second NFL game. He had two interceptions on 158 yards, and to add to the misery, McCarthy sprained his ankle which will keep him out for a certain period of time.

Rank 20 – Dallas Cowboys (1-1)

The Dallas Cowboys nearly beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 of the season, with Dak Prescott playing excellent and leading the way. In the second week of the season, while the Cowboys ending up winning the game in OT, the Giants pushed the Cowboys way too far. The sheer amount of talent the Cowboys have, and for them to be pushed to overtime, is not a good sign by any means.

Rank 21 – Houston Texans (0-2)

The 0-2 Texans struggled to define their offense against the Buccaneers, with C.J. Stroud under pressure from a shaky O-line. Despite early explosive plays and a late Chubb score, a tired defense couldn’t stop Tampa Bay’s final drive, leaving Houston two games back in the AFC South.

Rank 22 – Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1)

Trevor Lawrence fought hard Sunday despite two interceptions, but his overthrow and sideline exchange with Liam Coen sparked a lot of buzz. Brian Thomas Jr.’s wrist injury and five catches on 19 targets were disappointing to see, but the Jaguars’ 1-1 start highlighted some chemistry issues needing urgent fixes.

"We win, we lose, we compete as a team!" 🗣️#DUUUVAL pic.twitter.com/EHReXfhqv4
— Jacksonville Jaguars (@Jaguars) September 15, 2025

Rank 23 – New England Patriots (1-1)

Mike Vrabel’s Pats secured his first win as head coach, but nearly ended up collapsing against Miami. The defense struggled to contain the Dolphins and they gave away 12 penalties. Drake Maye managed to shine, outplaying his Week 1 struggles.

Rank 24 – New York Jets (0-2)

The 0-2 Jets flopped at home against the Bills, with a lifeless offense and porous defense. Justin Field was struggling to find his mark before he went down with a concussion, and Buffalo’s rushers dominated, exposing issues before two tough road games.

Rank 25 – Las Vegas Raiders (1-1)

Pete Carroll’s Raiders’ offense struggled against the Chargers in Week 2. Geno Smith threw three picks, the O-line could not contain anybody, and Ashton Jeanty is still struggling to make his mark in the NFL. Despite a gritty defense, a late field goal and Smith’s end-zone interception sealed a very clunky loss.

Rank 26 – New York Giants (0-2)

Russell Wilson’s 450-yard, last second TD pass to Malik Nabers gave the Giants a lead in Week 2 against the Cowboys, but they ultimately failed to win, losing in OT. At 0-2 now, the Giants will now face the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers, which could put them behind even further.

Working towards Sunday 😤 pic.twitter.com/QIy7z9b2Bv
— New York Giants (@Giants) September 17, 2025

Rank 27 – Miami Dolphins (0-2)

The 0-2 Dolphins faltered against the Patriots in Week 2 and the Colts in Week 1. Missed key plays like Tua’s errant pass to Tyreek Hill, and Achane’s out-of-bounds step, ended up sealing their fate in the game against the Pats. While they showed improved from an even abysmal Week 1, they face a tough Buffalo Bills team on Thursday.

Rank 28 – Chicago Bears (0-2)

The Bears are coming off a blowout loss against the Lions in Week 2. They looked like they were out of proportions, lacking offensive and defensive awareness on the field. Thanks to the Bears, Lion’s St. Brown had a tremendous performance with 3 TDs.

Rank 29 – Cleveland Browns (0-2)

The Ravens crushed the Browns 41-17, capitalizing on a fumble return TD after a 20-10 fourth-quarter lead. Cleveland’s run game, despite Judkins, flopped, and Flacco couldn’t save a faltering offense facing tough Packers and Lions matchups next.

Rank 30 – New Orleans Saints (0-2)

While Spencer Rattler and the rest of the team fought till the end, but a late-strip-sack fumble sealed the Saints’ second straight home loss. Some missed field goals, a costly fumble, and seven penalties doomed their chances to win the game. Now they face the Seahawks and the Bills which doesn’t help their case.

Rank 31 – Tennessee Titans (0-2)

Cam Ward has shown flashes of how great a QB he can be, throwing terrific TD passes but he’s still a rookie who needs a better team and O-line around him. The 0-2 Titans struggled with 10 penalties against the Rams, including two costly special teams flag and false starts. Ward’s five sacks and an injury to Zeitler’s elbow does not help as they will now face the Colts.

"I wanna score touchdowns.
