The Indiana Fever put an end to their two-game losing skid and recorded a blowout win over the Seattle Storm on Tuesday, August 26. Currently in the sixth spot, the Fever have had a turbulent campaign in the 2025 WNBA<\/a> season. The Fever lost key players including Sophie Cunningham, Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald to season-ending injuries. Not only this, but their star player Caitlin Clark has also been out of action for quite some time due to groin and ankle injury. <\/p>

Once seen as trophy contenders, the Fever have dealt with multiple blowouts this season. However, it seems that things are finally coming on the right track for Stephanie White’s team. The Fever fans got a positive update on Clark’s return over the weekend, indicating that we might see the 2024 Rookie of the Year suiting up for her team soon. <\/p>

When and How Did Caitlin Clark Get Injured? <\/h2>

After having a remarkable collegiate career, Clark was drafted as the No. 1 pick by the Indiana Fever ahead of the 2024 season. She finished her rookie season on a historic note and bagged the Rookie of the Year season. While she was expected to continue her dominance, her sophomore campaign has been derailed by injuries. A left quad strain, a left groin strain and a right groin injury limited her appearance in only 13 of Fever’s 38 games. <\/p>

This is not it, but she was also sidelined from the Commissioner’s Cup championship and All-Star weekend. She suffered her latest injury in the final minute of Fever’s 85-77 win over the Connecticut Sun at TD Garden in Boston on July 15. The 23-year-old completed a bounce pass to Kelsey Mitchell and was immediately seen in pain. She walked out and did not return. Later during a workout session on August 7, Clark suffered a bone bruise on her left ankle, further delaying her return. <\/p>

There were reports that Clark could be sidelined for the remainder of the ongoing season. However, there is a positive update about her return, indicating that we might see the former Iowa star lacing up soon. According to IndyStar’s Chloe Peterson, on August 24, Clark participated in some drills at shootaround with her team for the first time in over a month. She warmed up with her teammates and participated in low-impact, non-contact drills. <\/p>
