While Djokovic has some initial tests to overcome, his real challenges will start in the second week.<\/p><p>Having won the titles at Flushing Meadows on four previous occasions (2011, 2015, 2018, 2023), the seventh seed is always a contender for the men&rsquo;s championship. Placed in the same quarter as fourth seed and reigning finalist Taylor Fritz, the Serb has a bittersweet path to the final. He will begin his campaign against American southpaw Learner Tien, who is making waves on tour at the moment. It will be the first career meeting between the two stars. To round off the first week, Djokovic could face a qualifier in Round-2, and one of the home favourites in the form of Alex Michelsen or Sebastian Korda in Round-3.<\/p><p>Provided the Djoker makes it through to the second week, a mouth-watering clash against either No. 11 seed Holger Rune or two-time USO semifinalist Frances Tiafoe is on the cards. This will be an interesting challenge for the Serbian, particularly against the American who thrives on night session conditions in New York. While powerhouse American Taylor Fritz is slated to be his quarterfinal opponent, don&rsquo;t sleep on Czechia&rsquo;s youngest prodigy Jakub Mensik.
