The legal struggle involved his son Rush and his ex-wife Kaimana Pa&rsquo;aluhi, Rush&rsquo;s biological mother. The adoption process officially made Alessa Rush&rsquo;s legal mother, something that clearly meant the world to the entire family. Rush finally got to choose who he wanted as his mom, and that choice spoke volumes about the love and care Alessa had shown him over the years.
