She signed a three-year $220K rookie contract with the Dream, however, after the contract expired she went on to sign a one-year deal with the L.A. Sparks in 2024.<\/p><p>Playing for the Dream, she averaged 6.3 points, 2.0 assists, 1.6 rebounds per game, and finished second in the Rookie of the Year voting, earning WNBA All-Rookie Team honors. She improved in 2022, posting 11.1 points on 41.1 percent shooting from the field. However, since 2022, McDonald&rsquo;s numbers took a hit and she averaged 7.9 points and 8.7 points in 2023 and 2024 respectively.<\/p><p>Internationally, in August 2024, McDonald signed with the Perth Lynx in Australia for the 2023-24 season after failing to make the final roster with the Los Angeles Sparks.
