The Bavarian giants are reportedly very close to securing the German international&rsquo;s signature. Tah has been a long-time target for Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany. Tah is seen as a key piece in Bayern&rsquo;s defensive rebuild and could be an important figure in their FIFA Club World Cup campaign this summer.<\/p><p>According to Sky Sport&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Plettigoal\/status\/1926981298981110141\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" class=\"trk-cta-link\" data-cta-trk='{\"ctaType\":\"Link\",\"ctaSubType\":\"main\"}'>Florian Plettenberg<\/a>, the 28-year-old centre-back will complete his medical on Wednesday and is expected to sign a long-term contract with Bayern until 2029. Notably, Tah verbally agreed to join Bayern last Friday. The German defender has been at the heart of Leverkusen&rsquo;s defence for the last ten seasons. He was a consistent presence at the back as Leverkusen made history in 2024 by clinching the Bundesliga title. While Tah is due to join Bayern officially on July 1 as a free agent, the Munich side are eager to have him registered in time for the group stages of the Club World Cup, which begins on 15th June in the United States.
