Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White was all praise for Caitlin Clark with the way she handled her left quad injury. White said that she is happy by the way Clark told about her injury as sometimes great players don’t tell that they are going through something. Notably, Clark is set to miss at least two weeks of action due to a left quadriceps strain<\/a> that she sustained during the 90-88 loss to the Liberty. <\/p>

Considering they have the entire season ahead, the Fever wouldn’t want to rush Clark’s comeback to the court. White addressed the same to the media and said, “You know, there’s so many things when you think about Caitlin and her not wanting to miss games. Obviously, she’s a competitor and wants to play. Obviously, everyone wants to watch her play.” <\/em>She went on to say that the team wants to treat her injury in a way that doesn’t bother them in long run, and don’t push it. <\/p>

White stated, “But for me, it’s maintaining perspective. It’s making sure that we address this in a way that doesn’t affect [the] long-term. That we take care of it, don’t over-push, don’t over-exert. Making sure that we take the long-game approach to this so that we’re not having lingering issues throughout the course of the season.”<\/em> She added, “And I’m glad that, you know, sometimes great players don’t tell you that they’re hurting. I’m glad that she did, because we need to nip this in the bud.”<\/em><\/p>
