Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark called out officials after their one-point 91-90 loss to the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday. Clark expressed her unhappiness with the way the game was officiated, where the referees missed three calls in the first half, leading to challenges by the head coaches of both the teams. Following the replays, all three initial calls were overturned. <\/p>
After the game, Clark questioned the officials and conveyed her frustration with the referees. She said that it took for the officials to review the calls, which ultimately led to affecting the flow of the game. Not only this, but she also said that Fever’s head coach, Stephanie White, could have saved the challenge for a more complicated call late in the game. <\/p>
The 23-year-old said, “Yeah, challenges cannot take that long. It ruins the flow of the game. I get it. It’s early in the year. The refs want to make the right call.” <\/em>She added, “We can’t sit there for 2 and a half, 3 minutes, on an obvious hit out of bounds off of them, and still not know the call…We’re just standing there. The former Iowa star surpassed Sabrina Ionescu for most games with 25+ points and 10+ assists. <\/a>Clark dropped 27 points, five rebounds, and 11 assists to achieve the feat.
