It is said that each voter assigns points based on the ranking, where first-place votes is worth 10 points, second place vote is worth 7, and that goes on down to the fifth place, which is the last and worth only 1 point. Both these players had phenomenal seasons, and are currently headed to game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals. While we are not sure about when the results will come out, we think they&rsquo;ll come out right after Game 7&rsquo;s conclusion. If Jokic wins the award, it&rsquo;ll be his fourth award which will tie him with LeBron James, making him only the 6th player in <a href=\"https:\/\/theplayoffs.news\/en\/nba\/\" class=\"trk-cta-link\" data-cta-trk='{\"ctaType\":\"Link\",\"ctaSubType\":\"main\"}'>NBA <\/a>history to own 4 or more MVP awards.<\/p><p>Meanwhile if SGA ends up winning the award, we&rsquo;ll be celebrating the player of the best team in the NBA of the 2024-25 regular season. The Thunder won 68 games this season and were the best team in the entire NBA.
