Belal Muhammad<\/a> is all geared up to defend his UFC Welterweight title for the first time in his UFC<\/a> career. He will be facing off against Jack Della Maddalena<\/a> at UFC 315, who is on an undefeated streak in UFC. <\/p>

Belal Muhammad appeared at the UFC 315 Media Day on May 7, 2025 to talk about his upcoming fight on May 10, 2025 among other things. Belal Muhammad Considers Himself To Be the Hunter and Not the Hunted at UFC 315<\/h2>

Belal Muhammad talked with the reporters regarding his upcoming fight at the UFC 315 Media Day on May 7, 2025. He was asked about what he thinks of his first title defense as the champion. He responded (via MMA Junkie on Instagram<\/a>)-<\/p>

“I’m not coming in here, uh, you know, as the guy that’s being hunted. I’m the hunter. I want Jack’s record. I want Jack’s streak. I want Jack’s soul”. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Jack Della Maddalena had said earlier that it’s retirement time for Belal Muhammad, as per Cageside Press<\/a>. However, Belal Muhammad negated all those claims and stated that if Jack Della Maddalena believes that, then it will be a long night for him. <\/p>

The Welterweight Kingpin also revealed that he’s going to go in there and break Jack Della Maddalena up. He also stated that Della Maddalena is going to eat both his own trash talk and Muhammad’s fists in the fight. Belal Muhammad also put up his comments in his official Instagram post<\/a>. <\/p>

When Did Belal Muhammad Become the UFC Welterweight Champion?<\/h2>

Belal Muhammad won the UFC Welterweight title after his win over former champion Leon Edwards<\/a> at UFC 304. This was a rematch between both of them as their first encounter ended in a no-contest. However, Muhammad was aggressive in the fight right from the start and got an early lead. Leon Edwards returned with his own offensive power during the third and fourth round. However, Belal Muhammad finally managed to take down the former champion and become the champion himself. He won the fight through unanimous decision in five minutes of Round 5, as per the UFC official site<\/a>. <\/p>

Belal Muhammad has already made his intentions clear about his upcoming opponent. Only time will reveal whether he will be successful in retaining his title against the undefeated Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315.<\/p>\n
