The Minnesota Timberwolves lost game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Golden State Warriors, one of the biggest reasons why is because of the terrible shooting night that the Timberwolves had in Game 1. In fact, even after Stephen Curry left the game after a hamstring injury, the Wolves could never make a comeback. As great as the Timberwolves are, their offense can sometimes be stagnant, and inconsistent, and tonight’s game was the clear result of that. The Wolves attempted 29 threes in Game 1, and made only 5, shooting 17.2 percent. <\/p>
Another problem that the Wolves had surprisingly, was rebounding the basketball. Despite being a team with a lot of length, they were outrounded by the Warriors, by +10. While they paint great defense inside, the Warriors ended up torching the Wolves from beyond the arc, knocking down 18 three pointers. And anytime you let a non-shooter like Draymond Green make 4-10 three pointers, you know you are going to be in for a long night. <\/p>
