Calle Jarnkrok underwent surgery on Monday for a groin and sports hernia and will be sidelined indefinitely for the Toronto Maple Leafs.<\/p>
The forward, aged 33, has not played this season and went to New York last week to see a specialist when his first rehab efforts did not work. Berube expressed optimism that Jarnkrok may potentially return to play at a later point in the season.<\/p>
“Tough on Jarnkrok right from camp, obviously, He’s got to get it fixed and he will be out a while.<\/em> : Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube said<\/a><\/p> “It’s too bad because he’s a player that we liked and can help us but really hasn’t had that opportunity to do that.”<\/em><\/p> “Yeah, for sure, I just think it’s one of those types of things, see how he heals up and how everything goes, so that’s where that’s at.”<\/em> :Berube said. <\/p>
