He is the defending champion of the 2025 F1 season. Verstappen is a recent sensation in F1 who has risen to the top of the field after the 2021 season. He is a driver known for breaking limits and records. Max Verstappen has earned many nicknames- &ldquo;Super Max&rdquo;, &ldquo;Dutch Lion&rdquo; just to name a few. Verstappen was born in Hasselt, Flanders, Belgium. He has a younger sister, Victoria, who lives with his mother. Verstappen also has three younger half-siblings from his father. Max Verstappen&rsquo;s secondary school was in Maaseik.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is Max Verstappen&rsquo;s Mother?<\/h3><p>Sophie-Marie Kumpen is Max Verstappen&rsquo;s mother. She separated from Jos Verstappen in 2008. Kumpen is a former motorsports professional. She used to compete in karting and won four karting titles in her career. Sophie Kumpen is a recipient of the Andrea Margutti Trophy in 1995. She was a competitor in the Formido Swift Cup. Even though, she had a chance at a return to racing. She ended up with an injury which spelled the end to her career.
