They were a team that could not even earn 20 points in the 2024 F1 championship. A team that heavily relied on one-off miracle finishes from Alex Albon in order to stay competitive in the midfield. Alex Albon was allowed to use Logan Sargeant&rsquo;s car for one race as the team could not rebuild his car after a huge crash. In the final stage of the championship, Williams had to let go of Logan Sargeant in favor of Franco Colapinto. His arrival brought a little bit of hope for the team with few points finishes.<\/p><p>But, Williams also made headlines because of their newest driver signing for 2025. They managed to secure the services of Carlos Sainz Jr. for the upcoming season. Fast forward to 2025, Williams are now the fifth fastest team on the grid. Both of their drivers have managed to secure points finishes in the 2025 season. The season has only finished five races yet. However, Williams is set to content consistently in the middle-pack of 2025 F1 season.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Williams F1 Start a New Era in the 2025 F1 Season<\/h2><p>The duo of Carbono- Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon, brought Williams a <a href=\"https:\/\/theplayoffs.news\/en\/saudi-arabian-gp-key-takeaways-winners-and-losers-from-jeddah\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"trk-cta-link\" data-cta-trk='{\"ctaType\":\"Link\",\"ctaSubType\":\"main\"}'>double points finish last weekend<\/a>. The race was maginificent to watch as Williams utilised both of their drivers effectively to not lose points. In the past, Williams was a formidable team which slowly lost its performance and fervor.<\/p><p>Williams had a shaky start to the season in 2025 still. Albon was carrying the team until the last two races. Now, their driver in spotlight- Carlos Sainz has gotten up to speed.
