The card’s headliner features Brooklyn’s own Edgar Berlanga squaring off against England’s undefeated Hamzah Sheeraz in a WBC super middleweight title eliminator. Berlanga, currently ranked #9 by The Ring, is looking to bounce back after suffering his first professional defeat against Canelo Alvarez last September. That loss taught the 27-year-old Puerto Rican some valuable lessons, and now he’s aiming to prove he belongs among the division’s elite.
