Playing under head coach Deion Sanders, wide receiver and cornerback <a href=\"https:\/\/theplayoffs.news\/en\/travis-hunter-ready-to-play-100-snaps-in-the-nfl-provided-he-gets-the-chance\/\" class=\"trk-cta-link\" data-cta-trk='{\"ctaType\":\"Link\",\"ctaSubType\":\"main\"}'>Travis Hunter<\/a> and his quarterback Shedeur Sanders will both be honored with the retirement of their jersey numbers and their names will become immortal in Buffaloes&rsquo; football history.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Despite the team not being able to win a Bowl game or anything of significance for that matter, the Buffaloes were struggling for several years before the arrival of the standout players and Deion Sanders. Having your jersey retired is quite an honor to receive, and incidentally, it comes just days before the draft where both players are projected as first-round picks, although Sanders&rsquo; draft stock has been slipping consistently ever since the NFL Combine.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Is the Current Draft Projection for Travis Hunter?<\/h2><p>Two-way star Travis Hunter&rsquo;s draft stock remains high and he is expected to be drafted in the top 3. At one point, Hunter was in the running to be the first overall pick but as per reports, the Titans have their eye on Miami quarterback Cam Ward at the top of the draft.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Nevertheless, Hunter is a valuable asset to any team that drafts him. Even though he has declared himself as a corner, Hunter is exceptionally talented at the receiver position as well. Apart from Ward and Hunter, the only other player who could be in the top 2 is Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Is the Current Draft Projection for Shedeur Sanders?<\/h2><p>Sanders&rsquo; situation is a bit tricky at the moment given that his draft stock has been taking hits in the past few weeks. Prior to the NFL Combine, Ward and Sanders were considered the top two quarterbacks in this year&rsquo;s draft class, however, several teams who were in need of a signal caller are now having doubts over Sanders&rsquo; ability at the highest level.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Many franchises are not fully convinced with his tape and feel that the former Buffaloes&rsquo; quarterback has done things on the football field that will not work in the NFL where the competition is much higher and tougher.<\/p><p>As such, there is every possibility that Sanders plummets down the draft order and may even fall out of the first round altogether.
