Arkansas’ own Bryce Mitchell has never been one to shy away from a challenge. The camo-shorts-wearing featherweight burst onto the UFC scene after his impressive run on The Ultimate Fighter. Fans quickly took notice of his exceptional ground game and unique personality. His twister submission victory over Matt Sayles in 2019 marked only the second time that rare technique had been successfully used in UFC<\/a> history. Even outside the cage, Mitchell made headlines with his infamous ‘Hitler was a good gu<\/em>y” statement.<\/p>

Now ranked #13 in the division, Mitchell faces perhaps his toughest test yet at UFC 314 this weekend. Standing across from him will be Jean Silva, the Brazilian knockout artist who has taken the division by storm. Silva has quickly become one of the most feared strikers at 145 pounds, leaving a trail of unconscious opponents in his wake. The matchup presents a classic striker versus grappler scenario. Mitchell’s wrestling and submission skills will be pitted against Silva’s devastating power. “Bet The Farm” – Mitchell Unfazed By Underdog Status<\/h2>

During the UFC 314 media day, Mitchell showed zero concern about being the underdog. In fact, he seemed almost gleeful about his betting odds. When asked if he was being unfairly discounted by oddsmakers, this is what he said.<\/p>

“I believe so. But I think this is a great time for all my friends to bet and make a tremendous amount of money off me. So, go ahead and bet the farm; these are the best odds I’ve had in a long time. If you’re a betting man, cast your bet.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>
