Murphy knows exactly what he wants from Saturday’s UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs. Murphy headliner. He wants recognition as the division’s top contender. A dominant performance could immediately position Lerone Murphy as the first challenger for whoever emerges as champion. <\/p>

Murphy specifically requested the Emmett matchup after defeating Dan Ige last October. He sees Emmett as a true test that will showcase his abilities against a proven veteran. In the media day presser for the event, Murphy reiterated his stance on being loud in the UFC.<\/p>

It’s probably because I’m quiet and reserved. I’m always going to be me. I’m never going to be fake.
