Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic returned to the court after a five-game injury layoff and wasted no time in making history once again. The Joker posted a triple-double to guide the Nuggets to a 127-117 win over Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, March 26. <\/p>

Jokic posted 39 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in his first game in nearly two weeks. This was his 30th triple-double of the season. With it, Jokic made franchise history as well as broke his own record. Not only this, but he also entered his name into the NBA<\/a> record books and became only the fourth player after Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook to record 30 triple doubles in a season.<\/p>

Jokic, who has the third highest triple doubles in the NBA history<\/a>, was sidelined for the last five games due to an ankle injury and elbow discomfort. Needless to say, his absence was heavily felt by the Nuggets who were 2-3 in the last five games. <\/p>

In addition to it, the Joker is also on pace to be the first player<\/a> in the league to finish top three in points per game, rebounds per game and assists per game in a season. The 30-year-old is currently averaging 29.3 points, 12.8 rebounds and 10.3 assists per game this season. <\/p>

Beyond his record-setting performance, Jokic’s comeback was marked by a spectacular no-look pass to Aaron Gordon. Early in the second half, as Jokic drove to the basket, all eyes from the Bucks’ defense were locked on him. Seizing the moment, Gordon slipped along the baseline unnoticed. Jokic then delivered a no-look pass. Before Brook Lopez could react, Gordon had already thrown down a dunk.<\/p>
