Jadon Sancho – who celebrated his 25th birthday on March 25, finds himself staring at another summer of uncertainty. Sancho has found it difficult to settle in the Premier League, managing just two goals and four assists across all competitions this season. Following his loan move from Manchester United to Stamford Bridge in 2024, Sancho has struggled to find form and consistency, leading to growing frustration for both Sancho and the Chelsea fans. His time at Chelsea has been far from smooth and his future hangs in the balance once again.<\/p>

Sancho began his professional career with a breakout spell at Borussia Dortmund in 2017, where he quickly made a name for himself as one of Europe’s top young talents. His performances earned him a big-money move to Manchester United in 2021. But things haven’t gone as planned since then. His time at the Red Devils was underwhelming and after just two seasons at Old Trafford, Sancho was shipped to Dortmund on a short-term loan deal in January 2024, where he briefly rediscovered his form.<\/p>

United loaned him out again the following summer – this time to Chelsea, including an obligation to buy in the deal if certain thresholds were met. Sancho had a good start to his loan spell at Chelsea, registering three assists in his first three Premier League games. However, Sancho has not contributed a single goal or assist since January 4 and he has managed only one shot on target since Boxing Day. <\/p>

Sancho Eying Dortmund Return<\/h2>

Sancho is now reportedly pushing for a surprise return to Borussia Dortmund. According to Bild<\/a>, Sancho has already informed his representatives that a return to Dortmund is his preferred option. It’s no surprise given that Sancho’s time there was the most productive of his career. The winger scored 53 goals and provided 68 assists in 158 appearances across two spells at Dortmund. <\/p>

The report adds that Sancho’s desire to return to the Bundesliga is increasing day by day, with Bayer Leverkusen also keeping tabs on his situation. However, it’s Borussia Dortmund that appears to be leading the race for his signature.<\/p>
