The coach of the year award recognizes those coaches who make the biggest impact on and off the field throughout the season. <\/p><p>JJ Redick of the Los Angeles Lakers has been amongst one of the best coaches of the NBA season. A team that was struggling to be above .500 in past seasons, now sits as the second seed in the West. In the month of February, Redick led the Lakers to a 10-2 record and in January, the Lakers had a 9-5 record. With an unbeaten start to the month of March, the Lakers face the New York Knicks on March 6. <\/p><p>Redick has climbed multiple spots in Coach of the Year awards as the Lakers continue to win. <strong>He is +3000 according to BetMGM<\/strong> and is the third favorite to win the award. The young coach has resurrected the Lakers&rsquo; defense in his first season.
