Phoenix Suns’ star Kevin Durant, known as one of the best active players in the league, found it difficult to hold back his tears while talking about the importance of the game and the significance of the US Olympics team in his life. <\/p>
Durant, who created history during the Paris Olympics 2024 by becoming the first male basketball player to win four Olympic golds, appeared in Netflix’s new release, ‘Court of Gold’<\/a>. <\/p> In the docuseries, Durant, a fifteen-time NBA All-Star, talked about what the marquee tournament means to him, and how fans from different parts of the world come together to celebrate the game. <\/p> “I looked in the crowd, it’s 27,000 people from all walks of life, all different countries …coming together for basketball. It’s incredible to see that. So as much as I can bring us together that way, that’s what I try to do,” <\/em>Durant said. <\/p> The two-time NBA champion also recalled his childhood, revealing that he grew up in a place where there was so much hatred in the world but when people talk about the game and make jokes, it gets him emotional.<\/p> “I come from neighborhoods where people don’t even talk to each other. So much hate in the world too, it’s like … when people get to start laughing and joking for the game of ball, it’s cool to me, so it gets me emotional,” <\/em>Durant added. <\/p>
