Despite the Knicks shooting an impressive 55.1% from the field, Boston’s relentless offensive firepower made the difference, particularly from beyond the arc. The Celtics set a record for most three-pointers <\/a>on the opening night, draining 29 of their 61 three-point attempts, with Jayson Tatum leading the charge, piling up 37 points, including eight triples. <\/p>

Tatum was unstoppable, going 8-of-11 from the field, while teammates Jaylen Brown (18 points), Derrick White (24 points), and Jrue Holiday (18 points) provided steady scoring. The Knicks, meanwhile, saw solid contributions from Jalen Brunson (22 points) and Mikal Bridges (16 points), but they struggled from deep, shooting just 11-of-30 from three.<\/p>
