The Tragedy of Garrett Reid’s Overdose – How Addiction Shattered the Reid Family<\/h2>

Garrett Reid, Andy’s firstborn, was supposed to have it all. Raised in a stable home with a dad building a coaching career, Garrett was an Eagle Scout and learned piano. Yet, none of that stopped him from slipping into a decade-long heroin addiction.<\/p>

In 2012, at 29, Garrett was found dead from an overdose in his dorm room at the Philadelphia Eagles’ training camp. His death hit hard. <\/p>
