The Boston Celtics recorded a close 118-116 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, Jan. 31 at the Smoothie Kings Center. The game saw Trey Murphy III finishing with 40 points, five rebounds and four assists. However, it all went into vain as the Pelicans lost their fifth straight and recorded overall 37th defeat of the season. <\/p>
Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 28 points, six rebounds and four assists while Jayson Tatum closely followed him with 27 points, six rebounds and 10 assists. The Celtics are the second-best team in the Eastern conference and maintain a record of 33-15. <\/p>
The Pelicans are one of the worst teams of the season with only 12 wins and are out of the play-off picture as well. While they aim to turn around their 2024-25 run, it seems that their problems are not going to end anytime soon. <\/p>
