The fight game can be as tough as the fighters themselves. Just ask Arman Tsarukyan, who learned the hard way that pulling out of a UFC<\/a> title fight comes with consequences. The rising lightweight star had earned his shot at Islam Makhachev’s crown through impressive wins over Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush. <\/p>

However, a last-minute back injury forced him to withdraw from UFC 311’s main event. This left the promotion scrambling for a replacement and left UFC CEO Dana White with a sour taste in his mouth, as was evident from the post-fight press conference.<\/p>

Dana White Comments On Arman Tsarukyan’s Title Shot Status<\/h2>

During the post-fight press conference, White didn’t mince words about Tsarukyan’s future. While he usually delivers bad news with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer, this time, he kept it surprisingly straightforward.<\/p>

“He’s not getting a title shot. That means he’s going to have to fight his way back to the title…He’s going back to the drawing board. I don’t want anybody to ever fight hurt, ever. We’ve been in these positions before.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>
