Standing 6&rsquo;11&rdquo; (2.11 m) tall and weighing 250 lbs (113 kg), he plays as a power forward. Wolf attended Lake Forest Academy and Northfield Mount Hermon for high school. He is Jewish, observes the laws of kashrut, and celebrated his bar mitzvah at the Western Wall in Jerusalem.<\/p><p>Wolf&rsquo;s collegiate basketball career began at Yale, where he played from 2022 to 2024. In the 2022-23 season, he played in 21 games without starting, averaging 2.6 points and 2.1 rebounds. His performance significantly improved in the 2023-24 season, where he started 31 of 32 games, averaging 14.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. During his time at Yale, he earned first-team All-Ivy League honors and was named the Ivy League Tournament MVP in 2024. He also led the Ivy League in rebounds and blocks per game. With Yale, he helped the Bulldogs win the 2024 Ivy League Tournament, leading to an upset over a higher seed in the NCAA tournament.<\/p><p>For the 2024-25 season, Wolf transferred to the University of Michigan. He played and started in all 37 games, averaging 13.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.7 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. He was named to the second-team All-Big Ten in 2025 by both the media and coaches. At Michigan, he nearly averaged a double-double, leading the Big Ten in rebounds with 360 rebounds (8th in the NCAA) and in double-doubles with 15. He also had his first season with over 100 assists (132 total) and 50 blocks. Throughout his three-year collegiate career, he started 68 of 90 games, scoring 995 points (11.1 ppg) and grabbing 714 rebounds (7.9 rpg), accumulating 29 total double-doubles (15 at Michigan, 14 at Yale).<\/p><p>On April 16, 2025, Wolf announced he would forgo his senior season and declared for the 2025 NBA draft. He was selected 27th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the 2025 NBA draft on June 25, 2025. This made him the 78th Wolverine to be selected in the NBA draft and the 23rd Wolverine and ninth U-M junior to enter the NBA draft early. Some analysts considered his selection a potential &ldquo;steal&rdquo; in the draft.<\/p><p>Internationally, Danny Wolf competed for Israel in the 2023 FIBA U20 European Championship, where he won a silver medal and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
