Chucky Hepburn is an American professional basketball player who currently plays as a point guard for the Toronto Raptors in the NBA. Born on February 9, 2003, in Omaha, Nebraska, Hepburn quickly rose through the high school basketball ranks at Bellevue West in Bellevue, Nebraska, before embarking on a distinguished college career. Hepburn began his college basketball journey at the University of Wisconsin in 2021. As a freshman, he made an immediate impact, becoming the first freshman since 2001 to start in a season opener for Wisconsin. His performance earned him a spot on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2022, where he averaged 7.9 points, 2.3 assists, and 31 minutes per game. He continued to be a key player for Wisconsin, starting all 35 games in the 2022-23 season, averaging 12.2 points and 2.9 assists per game.
