Kyle Lowry is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on March 25, 1986, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lowry attended Cardinal Dougherty High School before playing college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats. Lowry had a successful two-year college career at Villanova. As a freshman in the 2004-2005 season, he played a key role coming off the bench for a Wildcats team that reached the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament. In his sophomore season (2005-2006), he became the starting point guard and averaged 14.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.3 steals per game, leading Villanova to the Elite Eight.
