Hasen Jamal Cain is an American professional basketball player, born on March 20, 1999, in Pontiac, Michigan, United States. He plays as a Forward and, as of the 2025-2026 season, is under contract with the Orlando Magic on a Two-Way deal. Cain is approximately 198 cm tall (6 feet and 6 inches) and weighs around 87 kg. High School Career Cain initially attended the Academy for Business and Technology in Melvindale, Michigan, before transferring to Cornerstone Health and Technology in Detroit. During his senior year, he established himself as one of the state’s top talents, being ranked the second-best player in Michigan by the Detroit Free Press and named a finalist for the Mr. Basketball of Michigan award. Cain was considered a four-star recruit and decided to commit to Marquette University for his collegiate career. University Career Cain’s collegiate journey was split between two prominent institutions: Marquette Golden Eagles (2017–2021): He spent his first four years playing for Marquette University. As a freshman, he participated in 34 of 35 games, contributing averages of 4.6 points and 3.4 rebounds. In subsequent seasons, his role on the team grew, culminating in his senior season (2020-21), where he recorded his first double-double and achieved a personal best of 25 points against Georgetown. Oakland Golden Grizzlies (2021–2022): For his final year of eligibility, Cain transferred to Oakland University. His time with the team was stellar, being named Co-Player of the Year of the Horizon League in 2022. He led the team in points and rebounds, with impressive averages of 19.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, being the only athlete in the conference to have double-digit averages in both categories. Miami Heat \/ Sioux Falls Skyforce (2022–2024): He signed a Summer League contract with the Miami Heat, which was later converted into a Two-Way contract in October 2022. Cain made his NBA debut on November 12, 2022, in a victory over the Charlotte Hornets. During his time with the Heat, he alternated between the main team and the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Heat’s G League affiliate.
