Randle finished with 33 points, 5 rebounds and four assists.
After facing criticism for his performance in the Timberwolves’ season opener, Julius Randle quickly silenced doubters with a stellar showing in his second game. Randle along with Anthony Edwards powered the Timberwolves to a narrow 117-115 win over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.
Randle scored a game-high 33 points, while Edwards finished with 32 points as the Timberwolves registered their first win of the season.
On his Wolves’ debut on Monday, Randle’s performance against the Lakers drew criticism from NBA fans despite his solid stat line.
The 29-year-old forward had 16 points, nine rebounds, and four assists while shooting 1/3 from the three-point range in 34 minutes.

Despite a decent performance, Randle was heavily criticized for his body language and loose play. However, Thursday night was a different story, as Randle set the tone early, scoring 22 points in the first half, keeping Minnesota within striking distance of the Kings throughout the game.
NBA fans were quick to change their tune and praised the All-Star forward for his heroic play.
Notably, Randle, along with guard Donte DiVincenzo, was traded by the New York Knicks to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for forward Karl-Anthony Towns earlier this month.
