Tazé Moore
Tazé Raekwon Moore, also known as Tazé Moore, was born on June 29, 1998, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. He attended Southaven High School in Southaven, Mississippi. His nickname is Tah-Zhay, and he can be found on Instagram as tazemoore.4.
Moore’s collegiate career spanned several institutions. He played for Cal State-Bakersfield (CSUB) and the University of Houston. During his redshirt junior year in 2019-20 at CSUB, he played in all 31 games, starting 25. As a freshman in 2016-17, he was part of the CSUB team that reached the school’s first National Invitational Tournament. In the 2018-19 season, as a redshirt sophomore at the University of Houston, he averaged 6.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 18.1 minutes per game. He led his team with 42 steals (1.4 per game) and was second with 20 blocks. He shot 42.9% from the field, 22.2% from three-point range, and 64.4% from the free-throw line. During that time, he also entered ESPN’s #SCTop10 Plays of the Day with a last-second game-winner, ranking 5th.
Regarding his professional career, Tazé Moore went undrafted in the NBA. However, he was drafted by the Texas Legends with the 9th overall pick in the 2022 G League Draft. His NBA debut was on January 21, 2024. He has two years of experience. In September 2024, he signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Trail Blazers but was waived in February 2025, becoming a free agent. On January 11, 2024, the Texas Legends acquired a 1st and 2nd round pick in the 2024 NBA G League Draft by trading Tazé Moore to the Rip City Remix. On July 8, 2025, there was news that the Trail Blazers signed Caleb Love to a two-way contract, and on June 10, 2025, the Rip City Remix named Jonah Herscu as head coach. On February 21, 2025, the Philadelphia 76ers signed Alex Reese to a two-way contract.
