The Boston Celtics extended their perfect start to the NBA season, defeating the Detroit Pistons 124-118 on Saturday night. Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics, scoring a game-high 37 points.
The Celtics dominated the first half, establishing a comfortable lead. However, the Pistons fought back in the third quarter, clawing their way back into the game. The contest then turned into a back-and-forth affair in the final minutes.
Malik Beasley scored a 3-pointer to reduce the deficit to one, but Derrick White hit two free throws to extend the Celtics’ winning streak to three.

Jayson Tatum was the hero for the Celtics, scoring six of his 37 points in the game. Through three games, Tatum is averaging an impressive 32 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5.8 three-pointers per game. He’s shooting an efficient 55% from the field and 49% from beyond the arc.
